HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-82-0532h RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF ROYCE PARKING CONTROL, INC. FOR FURNISHING REPLACEMENT OF SE- CURITY GATE OPERATORS FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PO- LICE; AT A TOTAL COST OF $12,500.00; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE 1981-82 OPERATING BUDGET OF THAT DEPARTMENT: AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE THE PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS EQUIPMENT. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received March 24, 1982 for the furnishing of Replacement of Security Gate Operators for the Department of Police; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 10 potential suppliers and 6 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the 1981- 82 Operating Budget; and WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Police for the purpose of replacement of worn equipment; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Police re- commend that the bid received from Royce Parking Control, Inc. be accepted as the most advantageous bid to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The March 24, 1982 bid of Royce Parking Control, Inc. for furnishing Replacement of Security Gate Operators for the Department of Police at a total cost of $12,500.00 is hereby accepted with funds hereby allocated from the 1981-82 Operating Budget of that department. Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Purchasing Agent to issue the Purchase Order for this equipment. PASSED AND ADOPTED this_day of June 1982. Pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received March 24, 1982 for furnishing replacement of security gate operators at the Depart- ment of Police. Invitations were mailed to 10 potential suppliers and 6 bids were re- ceived as listed on the attached Award of Bid. 2 "No -Bids" were also received. Funds for this purchase are available in the 1981-82 Operating Budget. This is a replacement of worn equipment. The Department of Police concurs with this recommendation. All other bids meet the specifications. Following is an analysis of the Invi- tation to Bid.
