AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 31-48 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, BY CHANGING CERTAIN TAXES CHARGED FOR OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES WHICH ARE LEVIED AT A GRADUATED OR PER UNIT RATE; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR THE TAXING OF BOXING AND WRESTLING MATCH PROMOTERS WHETHER OR NOT REGULATED BY THE CITY CODE; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. WHEREAS, the City of Miami regulates the issuance of occupa- tional licenses; and WHEREAS, the State of Florida authorized, as part of the Truth in Millage Ace:., the increase of occupational license taxes, beginning October 1, 1980, in Sections 205.033(1)(b) and 205.043 (1)(b), Florida Statutes; and WHEREAS, the State of Florid, during the 1982 legislative session, amen ed Sections 205.033().)(b) and 205.043(1)(b);; Florida j \ Statutes, by p oviding limitations on certain occupa i ha1 li cense taxes levi d by counties and municipalities It, a graduat d or per unit rate o a 25% increase inste d of ,the 100% increase` \\ 1previously authoria�ed; and WHEREAS, the State of Flgrida provided for an effective date for counties and municipalitiips of October-1, 1982; NOW, THEREFOREO BE IT `ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Section 31-4� �f' the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, is hereby amended in the following particu- lars:— "Sec. 31-48. Established. The assessments of license taxes are hereby fixed as follows: M.
