WHEREAS, the overall condition of Bird Avenue between
South Dixie Highway and `.?'. 27 Avenue has deteriorated; and

IIO1•J, THEREFORE, BF IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMTSSIO14 OF THE
CTTY OF MIAMI, FLORTDA:
Section 1. A local improvement described as RTRD AVENUE
HI014WAY IMPROVEI•IENT H-4479, shall be made under Section 56 of the
Charter of the City of I•Iiami, as amended, located at Ri.rd Avenue
between South Dixie Highway and S.1•J. 27 Avenue.
Section 2. This improvement; shall include clearing and
frradinf;, construction of-j.9phalt.ic concrete pavement., concrete
curbs ,.nd/or gutters, concrete sidetiaall:, decorative briclt sidewalk,
storm drainaf;e facilities and landscnned nreas.

Section 3.
This improvement shall be designated in all
proceedings and assessments as BTRD AVENUE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT,
H-4479 and the property against which special assessments shall be
made for a portion of the cost thereof, hereunder shall be designated
as BIRD AVENUE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DTSTRICT, H-4u79, with the follow-
ink; property descriptions by lot and hlncl- number constituting all

In the BIRD AVEIIZJE HIGHWAY IVPROVEMENT
DISTRICT, H-hh79.
In a continuinc; effort to serve the residents of the City of Miami,
a local improvement described as BIRD AVENTTE HIGHI,.'Av Ir4PROVEMFIIT,
H-4479 is being proposed as an assessable improvement under Section
56 of the Charter of the City of T•'iami This district e:111 include
the properties ad,lacent to Bird Avenue beti-.een South Dixie Highway
and 27 Avenue.
The overall condition. of R—I rd Avenu- bets-reen :'outh Dl xl e ITighway
and S.W. 27 Avenue has deteriorated. Side parkways, are in poor
condition due to extensive on -street rarkinc; pavement is out of
)7,rade and/or off -center; and drainage problems are e-xtnnsiv(,.
All of these problems :ill be corrected by BIRD AVENUE HIGHWAY
I!iPRO,T ENT, H-L479. The proposed construction will includA nPr.,
asphaltic pavement, concrete sidewal;:, decorat'_ve brick sides-ralk
between Diary Street and S.W. 27 Avenue, concrete curbs and/or
gutters, storm drainage facilities and landscarin�-.
BIRD AVEIJUE HIGHWAY IMPROVEM ENT is currently included in the City
of Miami's 1981-1987 Capital Improvement Program. The construction
of this improvement will be funded by Highway and Storm Sewer
General Obligation Bond Funds.
This improvement shall be designated in all proceedings and
assessments as BIRD AVENUE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, H-4479 and the
property against which special assessments shall be made for a
portion of the cost thereof, shall be designated as BIRD AVENUE
HIG14WAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, H-4479.
