mentioned proposal for concession rights and to authorize the
City Manager to execute a standard concession agreement between
the City and Mikara, Inc.
FUNDING/ Consideration to the City offered by the proposal is as follows:
CAUSE &
EFFECT:
MONTHLY MINIMUM
PROPOSER PARK CONSIDERATION GUARANTEE
Mikara, Inc. Coral Gate 21% $50
i
I BACKGROUND: Law Department ruling A-1268 exempts park concession contracts
from the competitive bidding process and allows the City to
award such contracts on a first -come, first -served basis. How-
ever, with the large amount of activity regarding park concession,
the Recreation Department will be reverting back to the Public Bid
Process for future concessions; this being the last proposal
accepted under the A-12GB ruling.
