A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT ENGAGING THE PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES OF THE APPRAISAL FIRM OF CARLTON W.
COLE, INC. AT A FEE NOT TO EXCEED $9,800, WITH
A 60 DAY COMPLETION TIME, TO DETERMINE THE FAIR
MARKET VALUE OF THE LAND AND BUILDING COMPRISING
THE CITY OF MIAMI/UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI JAMES L.
KNIGHT INTERNATIONAL CENTER AS IT APPLIES TO
THE 3 USERS: THE CITY OF MIAMI, THE UNIVERSITY
OF MIAMI AND THE HYATT HOTEL, USING FUNDS TO
COVER THE COST OF THE APPRAISAL FROM PRESENTLY
ALLOCATED FUNDS FOR SAID CENTER.
WHEREAS, proposals were solicited from 24 M.A.I ap-
praisers for professional services to determine the fair
market value of the City of Miami/University of Miami James L.
Knight International Center as it applies to the 3 users of
the Center: the University of Miami, the City of Miami and
the Hvatt Hotel; and
WHEREAS, 6 responses were received; and
WHEREAS, Carlton W. Cole, Inc. submitted the lowest bid
of $9,800, with 60 days completion time to provide this
appraisal;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
execute an agreement engaging the professional services of
the appraisal firm of Carlton W. Cole, Inc. at a fee not to
exceed $9,800, with a 60 day completion time, using funds
therefor from presently allocated funds for the City of
Miami/University of Miami James L. Knight International
Center.

�.H Convention Center Appraisals
It is recommended that the City
Commission award the assignment
to appraise the land and building
at the City of Miami/University
of Miami James L. Knight Inter-
national Center to Carlton W. Cole,
Inc., the lowest bidder.
Pursuant to instructions, proposals were solicited for professional
services from M.A.I. appraisers to determine the fair market value
of the land and building at the Convention Center. This value is
to be determined for each of the three users of the Convention Center,
i.e. the University of Miami, the City of Miami, and the Hyatt Hotel.
Twenty four requests for proposals were mailed to M.A.I appraisers,
and six bids were received. It is recommended that the assignment
to appraise the Convention Center be awarded to Carlton W. Cole, Inc.,
who submitted the lowest bid of $9,800.00. The time from award to
completion of the appraisal is to be sixty days.
The funds to cover the cost of this appraisal are to come from the
funds presently allocated for the Convention Center.
