RESOLUTION NO. 8 2ā 8 4 1
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS TO THE
CITY AFFIRMATIVE ACTION ADVISORY BOARD AND CONFIRMUC
THE DESIGNATION OF EACH INDIVIDUAL AS BEING SELECTED
BY A CERTIFIED BARGAINING REPRESENTATIVE OF CITY
EMPLOYEES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
Section 1. The following individuals are hereby selected
by a certified bargaining representative of City employees to serve
as a member of the City Affirmative Action Advisory Board and are
hereby appointed to serve as Board members as follows:
Jimmy R. Burke, Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge No. 20,
to serve for a term expiring January 24, 1983.
Robert Mack, American Federation of State, County and
Municipal Employees, Local 1907, to serve for a term expiring January
24, 1984.
Hines Breeden, Sanitation Employees Association Incorporated,
to serve for a term expiring January 24, 1983.

Appointments to Affirmative
Action Advisory Board.
Attached is a draft resolution providing
for the confirmation of three (3) indivi-
duals as members of the Affirmative Action
Advisory Board.
Two vacancies were created by the expired terms of board members
Robert Mack of the American Federation of State, County, and
Municipal Employees (AFSCME) and Hines Breeden of the Sanitation
Employees Association, Inc. (SEAI). Both individuals have been
reappointed by the unions they represent. Sgt. Jimmy R. Burke
has been appointed by the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) to
fill the unexpired term of Sgt. Gerald R. Green.
Section 1 of Ordinance 9139 provides for the City Commission to
confirm the appointments by certified bargaining representatives
of City employees to the Affirmative Action Advisory Board. In
accordance with administrative policy I am notifying you of the
above so that your office may advise the Commission.
