RESOLUTION NO. 2
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PAY
THE AMOUNT OF $22,900 TO THE LAW FIRM OF BROWN,
WOOD, IVEY, MITCHELL & PETTY FOR LEGAL SERVICES
RELATED TO THE PREPARATION AND VALIDATION OF
$21,000,000 FIRE FIGHTING, FIRE PREVENTION AND
RESCUE FACILITIES BONDS; $45,000,000 SANITARY
SEWER SYSTEM BONDS AND $30,000,000 STREET AND
HIGHWAYS IMPROVEMENT BONDS.
WHEREAS, the firm of Brown, Wood, Ivey, Mitchell & Petty assisted
the City in the preparation for and validation of $21,000,000, Fire
Fighting, Fire Prevention and Rescue Facilities Bonds; $45,000,000 Sani-
tary Sewer System Bonds; and $30,000,000 Street & Highways Improvement
Bonds; and
WHEREAS, these services required research for the preparation
of various validation instruments in order to comply with the Florida
Constitution and Statutes and the City Charter, and
WHEREAS, these bond issues have been successfully validated in
the Circuit Court of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to pay the amount
of $22,900, to the law firm of Brown, Wood, Ivey, Mitchell & Petty as
full and complete payment for legal services rendered relating to the
validation of $21,000,000 Fire Fighting, Fire Prevention and Rescue
Facilities Bonds, $45,000,000 Sanitary Sewer System Bonds; and $30,000,000
Street and Highways Improvement Bonds.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9TH day of SEPTEMBER , 1982.

It is requested that the attached
resolution be approved by the City
Commission authorizing the City
Manager to pay the amount of $22,900.00
for legal services in conjunction
with the validation of $21,000,000
Fire Fighting, Fire Prevention and
Rescue Facilities Bonds; $45,000,000
Sanitary Sewer System Bonds; and
$30,000,000 Street & Highway Improve-
ment bonds.
The firm of Brown, Wood, Ivey, Mitchell & Petty prepared the
validation instruments, including Resolutions, Ordinances and
they were approved by the City Commission for the validation
of $21,000,000 Fire Fighting, Fire Prevention and Rescue Facili-
ties Bonds; $45,000,000 Sanitary Sewer System Bonds; and
$30,000,000 Street & Highway Improvement Bonds, which were used
by the City Attorney in order to validate these bonds in the
Circuit Court of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, in
and for the County of Dade.
Legal services provided included review of the Florida Constitution,
Statutes and the City Charter as well as conferences held with the
City Attorney, Finance Director and Financial Advisors.
The Attached resolution authorizes payment for these services from
the bond proceeds.
