CORPOR':TION IN THE PROPOSED AMOUNT OF $11,393, TOTAL BID OF THE PROPOSAL, FOR LU,%LNIUS PARK AREA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PAVING PROJECT, WITH MONIES THEREFOR ALLOCATED FROM THE FEDERAL COMMUNITY DEVELJP:-'.ENT BLOCK GRANT FUND IN THE Al%IOU%T OF $11,385 TO COVER THE CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID FUND THE MOUNT OF $1,130 TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM SAID FUND THE AN`IOU`�T JF $228 TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH ITE.%:S AS ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES, AND POSTAGE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIR •1 WHEREAS, sealed bids were received August 5, 1982 for LUMMUS PAR:: A?EA COMMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PAVING PROJECT; and WPERE;.S, the City Manager reports that the bid of P.N.M. Corporation, for the total bid of the proposal, is the lowest re-sponsible bid, and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and WHEREAS, monies are available for the proposed amount of the contract, project expense, incidentals, and indirect cost -from the "Federal Community Development Block Grant Fund"; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The August 5, 1982 bid of P.N.M. Corporation, in the proposed amount of $11,385, for the project entitled LUMMUS PARK AREA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PAVING PROJECT, for the total bid of the proposal, based on unit prices, is hereby accepted at the price stated therein. i CITY COMMISSION MEETING OE S E P 91982 RESO!!!flON NO 8 D Section 2. The amount of $11,385 is hereby allocated from t:.e "Federal Community Development Block Grant" to cover ..a cost of said contract. Section 3. The additional amount of $1,480 is hereby allocate' -from the aforesaid fund to cover the cost of project expense. Sectio:-: 4. The additional amount of $228 is hereby allocate:from the aforesaid fund to cover the cost of such incidental items as advertising, testing laboratories, and postage. Section 5. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of The City of Miami with P.N.M. Cather Director of P 11 Works (For Commission Meeting of September 9, 1982) r-� o The Department of Public works recommends adoption of the resolution accepting the bid received August 5, 1982 of P.N.M. CNJ Corporation in the amount of $11,385; and authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Miami for LUMMUS PARK AREA COMMUNITY c� DEVELOPMENT PAVING PROJECT. Bids were received August 5, 1982. A total of ten contractors submitted bids. The project will include rebuilding of por- tions of sidewalk and curb and gutter. The $11,385 bid of P.N.M. Corporation is the lowest respon- sible bid for the total bid of the proposal. Funds have been allocated from the Federal Community Development Block Grant to cover the cost of the contract, as well as for project expense, and incidental items such as advertising, postage, and testing laboratories.
