Cather . _,_ ..Resolution to Increase Scope D' ector of P Works and Final Payment (For Commission Meeting of June 17, 1982) The Department of Public Works recommends the adoption of a resolution authorizing an increase in the scope of the contract in the net amount of $11,096.80 for the FUELING FACILITY - ADDITIONAL FUEL TANKS - 1980 (2ND BIDDING); accepting the completed work performed by Florida Pump and Tank, Inc. at a total cost of $75,994.52; and authorizing a final payment of $17,586.57. Florida Pump and Tank, Inc. has completed the project consisting of furnishing and installing three 10,000 gallon fuel tanks (two gasoline and one deisel) at the Heavy Equipment Service Facility on N.W. 20 Street between 13 - 14 Aves. This was a lump sum contract in the amount of $64,897.72, including a $2500.00 cash allowance. The total payment to the contractor will be greater than the original contract amount by $11,096.80 because of a negotiated settlement in that amount of the contractor's claims for work he did without proper authorization. Sufficient funds are available from the Capital Improvement Ordinance No. 9353 adopted November 12, 1981, as amended, Section IX.C.(ii)9. It is now in order for the Commission to accept the completed work and authorize final payment, after all conditions are met.
