W. 2nd Street This letter will confirm our understanding regarding the temporary closing of N. W. 2nd Street and reimbursement to you of losses in parking revenue as a result of this closing. The need for the closing results from the construc- tion contract for the METRORAIL Government Center Station. The Off -Street Parking Authority currently has six (6) parking meters in N. W. 2nd Street between the METRORAIL right-of-way and N. W. 1st Avenue. Of these, two (2) fall within the METRORAIL right-of-way and must be removed permanently regardless of the street closing. For the remaining four (4) meters, the County has agreed to reimburse the Authority $2.00 per day for each meter for six (6) days a week during the period of the street closing. Additionally, the County agrees to pay the Authority $75.00 removal and reinstallation costs for each of the four (4) meters. Using this formula, total reimbursement is derived as follows: Length of Contract From June 14, 1982 - 720 days Number of Revenue Days From July 5, 1982 - 580 days Four meters @ $2.00/day $ 8.00 Lost Revenue $ 4,640.00 4 Meters @ $75.00 each $ 300.00 Total Reimbursement $ 4,940.00 I believe this letter adequately reflects our agreement.
