A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY
AND SINCEREST CONDOLENCES OF THE CITY COM-
MISSION ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF MIAMI AND
ITS CITIZENS TO THE MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY OF
FERNANDO PUIG UPON HIS DEATH.
WHEREAS, Fernando Puig was a caring businessman who was
involved in the social and civic activities of Miami's Latin
community; and
WHEREAS, Fernando Puig was a member of the Florida Com-
mission on Hispanic Affairs and a member of the City of Miami
Boxing and Wrestling Board; and
WHEREAS, the senseless and tragic slaying of Fernando Puig
on August 14, 1982 deprives the City of Miami of a much -
admired human being.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE. COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby conveys to the
family and friends of Fernando Puig its deepest sympathy and
sincerest condolences on behalf of the citizens of the City
of Miami upon his death.
Section 2. The herein Resolution is offered by the
City Commission as a token of its respect and esteem.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of September, 1982.
