Surana, ector .EFEFE'.-.ES Department of Mana e and Budget It is recommended that the City Commission approve the transfer of $22,000 from the Department of International Trade Promotions fiscal year 1982 budget to the Department of Economic Development for the purpose of operating said department from June 28 through September 30, 1982. At the City Commission meeting on May 27, 1982 an ordinance was passed (No. 9438) creating a new department to be known as the Department of Economic Development. This action was taken pursuant to Motion No. 82-286 dated April 1, 1982 and Motion No. 82-338 dated April 22, 1982. Motion No. 82-286 presented the City Commission with a recommendation by the City Manager that the Department of Trade and Commerce Development be divided into two separate departments; one dealing exclusively with economic development and the other with international trade and promotion. Ordinance No. 9438 created the Department of Economic Development, but did not provide operational funding for the remainder of fiscal year 1982. The proposed ordinance attached, transferring $22,000 from the Department of International Trade Promotions fiscal year 1982 budget to the Department of Economic Development will accomplish this purpose. This proposed ordinance is prepared for the September 9, 1982 City Commission meeting. a P MIAMI REVIEW AND DAILY RECORD Published Daily except Saturday, Sunday and Legal Holidays Mlami, Dade County, Florida.
