AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE 140. 8719, ADOPTED OCTOBER 26, 1977, THE SUMMARY GRANT APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE, AS AMENDED; BY ESTAB- LISHING A NEW TRUST AND AGENCY FUND ENTITLED: CUBAN-HAITIAN ENTRANT IMPACT AID PROGRAM," A14D APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR ITS OPERATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,708,800; CONTAINING A REPEALER PRO- VISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 8719 on October 26, 1977, establishing resources and appropriations for grant funds anticipated by the City of Miami, Florida; and WHEREAS, the United States Department of Health and Human Services, through the State of Florida and the South Florida Em- ployment and Training Consortium, has offered the City of P7iami a 'y grant of $1,708,800 to provide job training service$ to Cuban and - f ' Haitian Entrants; and WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 82-R51 on September 9, 1982 allocating a sum of $,486,200 to bommunity-based organizations to provide professiork!job training services to �s Cuban and Haitian Entrants; and WHEREAS, the City of Id4ni intends to use the balance of $222,600 ($1,708,800-$1,486,20'0) for administrative costs and to provide two hundred (200) participants with work experience in City departments an /or vocational and English language training; f NOW, THEREFOR BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COD'MISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:' Section'l. •,Sk4 tion 1 of Ordinance No. 8719, adopted October 26, V77,}as amended,is hereby further amended as follows: 1/ z' '%$`ec lion .
