AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 8719, ADOPTED OCTOBER 26, 1977, THE SUMMARY GRANT APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE, AS AMENDED; BY ESTAB- LISHING A NEW TRUST AND AGENCY FUND ENTITLED: "OFFICE OF INTERGOVERNMENTAL LIAISON-FY'83," AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF SAME IN THE AMOUNT OF $57,000; CONTAINING A REPEALER PRO- VISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 8719 on October 26, 1977, establishing resources and appropriations for grant funds anticipated by.the City of Miami, Florida; a d WHEREAS, on September 13, 1982, the South Florida ployment and Training Consortium (SFETC) adopted Resolution1o. 09`r13-82-04 allocating $57,000 in federal funds to the City of t•liami for fiscal R f year 1983 to fund an office to perform 1 ason Se�vices'with the SFETC; and {!l! WHEREAS, the U. S. Department of Labor will fund seventy-three percent (73%) of the Office for liai4 services related to job training programs and the U. S. bepar,ment of Health and Human Services will fund twentyleVen ppercent (27%) of the Office for liaison services related to entrant impact aid programs; and WHEREAS, on October 14j 1982, the City Commission adopted Resolution No._ authorizing the City Manager to negotiate t'l and execute an agreement, subject to the City Attorney's approval ,t as to form and correctness, continuing the Office of Intergovern- mental Liaison prlifiscal year 1983 to be funded by the South Flor4do Em loyment and Training Consortium; and , WH, this office will continue to function within the D' f City's.0i�pajrtment of Human Resources to provide the necessary ad- ministrative support to City departments and community -based organizations for job training services; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COIU4ISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
