IN THE PROPOSED AMOUNT OF $639,026.75, BASE BID AND ADDITIVE BID OF THE PROPOSAL, FOR CENTRAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT IN CENTRAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTINCT SR-5481-C (CENTERLINE SEWER); WITH MONIES THEREFOR ALLOCATED FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "CENTPj%L SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT" IN THE AMOUNT OF $639,026.75 TO COVER THE CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID FUND THE AMOUNT OF $83,078.25 TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM SAID FUND THE AMOUNT OF $12,780.00 TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH ITEMS AS ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES, AND POSTAGE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM I�HEREAS, sealed bids were received Septem- ber 9, 1982 for CENTRAL SANITARY SEt-,ER I;•IPROVEMENT in CENTRAL SANITARY SEI-ER I'iPROVEIIE'NIT DISTRICT SR-5481-C (centerline see>>er) ; and WHEREAS, the Citv :tanager reports that the bid of Lanzo Construction Co., for the base bid plus additive bid of the proposal, is the lowest respon- sible bid, and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and WHEREAS, the Capital Improvements Appropriation Ordinance No. 9353, as amended, was adopted on November 19, 1981, and monies are available for the proposed amount of the contract, project expense, and incidentals from the account entitled "Central Sanitary Sewer Improvement", as set forth under Section IV.B.8 of said ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF I�IIAAI, FLORIDA: CITY COMMISSION t.', ETiNG OF 14 ' 9c2 OIL Section 1. The September 9, 1.982 bid of Lanzo Construction Co., in the proposed amount of $639,026.75, For the project entitled CENTRAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT in CENTRAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5481-C (centerline sewer), for the base bid plus additive bid of the proposal, based on unit prices, is hereby accepted at the price stated therein. Section 2. The amount of $639,026.75 is hereby allocated from the account entitled "Central Sanitary Sewer Improvement" to cover the cost of said contract. Section 3. The additional amount of $83,078.25 is hereby allocated from the aforesaid fund to cover the cost of project expense. Section 4. The additional amount of $12,780.00 is hereby allocated from the aforesaid fund to cover the cost of such incidental items as advertising, testing laboratories, and postage. Section 5. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of The City of Miami with Lanzo Construction Co. for CENTRAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT in CENTRAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5481-C (centerline sewer), base bid plus additive bid of the proposal. Bids were received September 9, 1982 for construction of sanitary sewers by a private contractor under contract with the City of Miami as part of the City's ongoing sanitary sewer program, at N. W. 7 Street to the Dolphin Expressway between N. W. 37 Avenue and N. W. 42 Avenue. As reflected in the tabulation of bids, the $639,026.75 bid of Lanzo Construction Co. is the lowest responsible bid for base bid plus additive bid of the proposal.
