IN THE PROPOSED AMOUNT OF $20,450, BASE BID OF THE PROPOSAL, FOR M.M.P.D. - GARAGE FLOOR SLAB REPLACEMENT; WITH 1,10NIES THEREFOR ALLOCATED FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "?OLICE PARKING GARAGE IMPROVEMENT" I,J TIIE AMOUNT OF $20 , 450 TO COVER THE CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID FUND THE AMOUNT OF $2,660 TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCAT- ING FROM SAID FUND THE AMOUNT OF $410 TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH ITEMS AS ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES, A14D POSTAGE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY 'TANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM WHEREAS, scaled bids were received September 28, 198 for M.'M.P.D. - GARAGE FLOOR SLAB REPLACEMENT; and 1%1HEREAS, the City ?Tanager reports that the bid of Pat -chard & Co., Inc., for base bid of the proposal, is the lcnaest responsible bid, and recommends Lhat a c_onLracL be wlvarded to said firm; and 1%'HEREAS, the C;ipital Improvements Appropriation Ordinance No. 9353, as amended, was adopted on November 19, 1981, and monies are available for the proposed amount of the contract, project expense, and incidentals, from the account entitled "Police Parking Garage Improvement", as set forth under Section VII.B.4 of said ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COTNZIISSION OF THE CITY OF I1IA1,1I, FLORIDA: Section 1. The September 28, 1982 bid of Patchard & Co., Inc., in the proposed amount of $20,450, for the project entitled •I.M.P.D. - GARAGE FLOOR SLAB REPLACEMENT, for the base bid of the proposal, based on lump sum prices, is hereby accepted at the price stated therein. Cather Director of Public Works DATE September 29, 1982 FILE B-2851 SUBIECT M.M.P.D. - GARAGE FLOOR SLAB REPLACEMENT - Resolution Awarding Contract REFERENCES (For Commission Meeting ENCLOSURES of October 14, 1982) The Department of Public Works recommends adoption of the resolution accepting the bid of Patchard & Co., Inc. received September 28, 1982 for the base bid in the amount of $20,450; and authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Miami for M.M.P.D. - GARAGE FLOOR SLAB REPLACEMENT. Bids were received September 28, 1982 for removing fifteen 8 ft. x 12 ft. deteriorated concrete slabs and replacing them with new, at the M.M.P.D., 401 N. W. Third Avenue. As reflected in the tabulation of bids, the $20,450 bid of Patchard & Co., Inc. is the lowest responsible bid for base bid of the proposal. Funds have been allocated under the account entitled "Police Parking Garage Improvement" for the estimated amount of the contract, for project expense, for such items as advertising, testing laboratories, and postage.
