HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-82-0949RESOLUTION NO. 1 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF THOMAS RUFF OF FLORIDA FOR FURNISHING OFFICE FURNITURE COMPONENTS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AT A TOTAL COST OF $17,657.52; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE PRIOR YEAR RESERVE FUND; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE PUR- CHASING AGENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS EOUIPMENT. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received September 8, 1982 for the furnishing of approximately 97 items of Office Furniture Components to the Department of Finance; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 7 potential suppliers and 3 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the Prior Year Reserve Fund; and WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Finance for the purpose of replacement of old furniture in the newly remodels-(! (-,eneral Accountln,I office; and WHEREAS, the Cite Manager and the Department of Finance recommend that the bid' received from Thomas Ruff. of Florida be accepted, as the most. advanta(icous bid to the City; NO11, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMPlISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI , FLORIDA: Section 1. The September 8, 1982 bid of Thomas Ruff of Florida for furnishing Office Furniture Components to the Depart- ment of Finance at a total cost of $17,657.52 is hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the Prior Year Reserve Fund. Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Purchasing Aqent to issue a Pi:rchase Order for this equlp11t. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of October 1982. Maurice A.
