RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PLAT ENTITLED
"PORT OF MIAMI EXPANSION - METROPOLITAN
DADE COUNTY" A SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF
MIAMI; ACCEPTING THE DEDICATIONS SHOWN ON
SAID PLAT; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
CITY MANAGER A14D CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THE
PLAT A14D PROVIDING FOR TILE RECORDATION OF
SAID PLAT IIJ THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE
COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the City Zoning Board and the Department of
Public Works have recommended the acceptance of the plat;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Plat entitled, "PORT OF MIAMI EXPANSION -
METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY", is a subdivision of the following
described property: Portions of Sections 4, 5, 8 and 9, Toi.-n-
ship 54 South, Ran-e 42 East, lying and being in the City of
Miami, Dade Countv, Florida, which by reference is made a part
hereof as if fully incorporated herein and the dedications
as shoi.m thereon together with all existing and future planting,
trees and shrubbery on said property, to the perpetual use of
the public, is hereby accepted and confirmed by the City of
Miami, Florida.
Section 2. The City Manager and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the Plat and record same
in the Public Records of Dade County, Florida.

The Department of Public Works recommends
the approval of the plat by the City
Commission of Miami, Florida, and certifies
its correctness as to form.
The proposed record plat entitled, ''PORT OF MIAMI EXPANSION -
METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY", is a plat of portions of sections 4, 5,
8 and 9, Twp 54S, Rge 42E. It is zoned W-I and consists of 225+
acres.
This plat is being forwarded to your office for City Commission
action.
Also attached are the following itemized papers necessary to
present the Plat to the City Commission of Miami:

(1) Resolution accepting the Plat.
(2) Print of proposed Record Plat.
(3) Opinion of Title.
(4) Memorandum from the Department of Planning waiving
landscaping requirements.
(5) Memorandum from the Miami -Dade Water and Sewer Authority
pertaining to water mains and appurtenances,
(6) Portion of City Atlas Sheet No. 52 showing property platted
colored in red.

METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY
A SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA
The accompanying Plat entitled, "PORT OF MIAMI EXPANSION -
METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY", was prepared by Post, Buckley_, Schuh &
Jernigan, Inc. It is in correct form for submission to the City
Commission and is forwarded with a recommendation that it be approved.
PERTINENT INFORIATION REGARDING THE PLAT:
(1) The property platted is located in Sections 4, 5, 8
and 9, in Township 54 South, Range 42 East, and
consists of 225+ acres all lying in Biscayne Bay,
It is zoned W-I
(2) As certified to by Larry R. McMullen, Registered Land
Surveyor, this Plat complies with the plat filing laws
of the State of Florida.
(3) By authority of Resolution No. 175-80, adopted
September 8', 1980, the Plat was recommended for
acceptance by the City Zoning Board of Miami, Florida.
(4) The attached Certificate of Title Examination dated
August 6, 1982, signed by Stephen P. Lee, Assistant
County Attorney, indicates that the fee simple title
to the property platted is correctly vested in
Metropolitan Dade County Seaport Department, and the
Plat has been correctly executed.
(5) The area platted is not encumbered by mortgages.
(6) Since all the required improvements on this property
are the responsibility of Dade County, this Plat will
be forwarded to the City Commission of Miami, Florida,
without the usual formality of providing Bond and
Contract,
(7) The location of the property is shown colored in red
on the accompanying copy of a portion of City of Miami,
Florida, Atlas Sheet No. 52.
(8) The attached Resolution has been prepared for the
acceptance of the Plat by the City Commission of Miami,
Florida.

This office has reviewed a Title Search dated April 1, 1982

of the Public Works Department. Said Title Search is attached
hereto and made a part hereof. based on said review, and
specifically bases: on the representation in said Title
Search that there is a Continuous and unbroken chain of
title on the subject property into Metropolitan Dade County,
Florida, I am of the opinion that subject to the restrictions,
limitations, easements and liens of record, Metropolitan
Dacia Count:, Florida, has title to the said property.
