Relocation of S.E. 4 Street
Approach to Miami Avenue

The City of Miami has received a request from the State of Florida
Department of Transportation to assist them in expeditinq the re-
location of tho S. E. 4 Street approach to the now Miami Avenue
bri_doe northerly to a new alignment parallel to the T-95 connector
(see attached map, Exhibit A). Rather than acquiring this right
of way throunh a condemnation process, the State of Florida is
warkinn cooperatively with an a: _ecteo pycperty owner, Arman(lo
CoOna of Intr'mor_ca Tnvestren`:.s, Inc., to establish a procedure
unAer which this relocation could be accomplished at least cost
to the pnb j is in a timely manner and set an example for adjacent
property owners.

several million dollars and enable them to complete the project.
The completion of the Miami I•'.iver bridge project is, of course,
in everyone's best interest. The property owner felt that this
procedure could also Une it him by unifying his holdings. The_'
process, however, has taken ]'lush lonnor than oriAnal ly e`ipecte(I
due to the numl)er of approvals involved and the delay
cagsnA in the State's Mans for the Miami Avenue bridge project.

The purpose of this memorandum is to indicate to the City
Commission the proposed process for accomplishing the re-
location of the S.E. 4 Street approach and to incorporate any:
sug(Testions by the City Comi.,Assion after di.sciission of this
process.
