Ah10UNT OF $39, 560 `31., �,45 TO BF F.E('EIVF.D FnOM CHARRON WILLIAMS COLLEGE AND $7,91.2 FROM CITE' FISCAL YEAR 1.983 SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND AC- COUNTS - MATCHING FUNDS FOR GRANTS; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION A^,D A SEVERABII.ITY CLAUSE. 1%HEREAS, the C.iLy Commission adopted Ordinance No. 8719 on October 20, 1.977, establishing resources and appropriation for grant funds anticipated by the Cite of :Miami, Florida; and hHEREAS, the Cite Commission adopted Resolution do on October 14, 1982, authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute an agreement, subject to the Citv Attorney's ap- proval as to form and correctness, with Charron lk'illiams College for the purpose of providing employment and work experience to students eligible to participate in the college work-study pro- gram; and t•;HFREAS, the United States Department of Education has provided funds to Charron Williams College to carry out work- study programs; and 1•,HEREAS, Charron t.'illiams College desires to place students who are enrolled in their work-study program in temporary, part- time jobs with the City of Miami; and WHEREAS, the City of ?Miami desires to have students work for the City in this capacity; and 1-;HEREAS, Charron Williams College will reimburse the City of 'Miami for eighty percent (8()'/;) of the $3.35 per hour maximum ua L to b(- Laid by the City to students participating in the 1)ro,;ram; rind t } t4 0 lti'III:I;I AS, a sum nt 57912 is avai lahl_e i_n the f iscal 1983 Special Programs and Accounts: Matching Funds for to cover the twenty percent (20') expense required 1)V th NOW , THi:REF0RE, BE 1T 0R1)AINED BY TIIF. All ordinances or parts of ordinances insofar as they are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. If any section, part of section, phrase, para- graph, clause or word of this ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining provisions of this ordinance shall not be affected.
