AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION (d) OF SECTION 54-3 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, BY INCREASING THE FEE FROM $15 TO $30 WHEN APPLYING FOR A PERMIT TO OBSTRUCT A STREET OR SIDEWALK OR IMPEDE TRAFFIC; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. WHEREAS, Section 54-3 of the City Code prohibits the obstruction of any street or sidewalk without first having a obtained a permit from both the Police Department tand the Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services Department; and WHEREAS, such permit shall set forth minimal and reason- able conditions for the protection of propertty and personal safety; and WHEREAS, it is a condition precedent to the issuance of any such permit that the applicant shall assume all civil liability for its acts and shall hold the City harmless for r any acts arising or result from the issuance of said permit; and WHEREAS, costs to the City for administrative processing and follow up on these permits have increased substantially; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Subsection (d) of Section 54-3 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, is hereby further 1/ amended in the following particulars: i "Sec. 5'4-3. permit required to obstruct street or sidewalk or impede traffic.
