COST OF $41,431.20; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE PRIOR YEAR RESERVE FUND; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE PURCHASING AGENT To ISSUE PUR- CHASE ORDERS FOR THIS EOU IPMEENT . WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received October 4, 1982 for the furnishing of Test Scor- ing Equipment for the Department of Human Resources; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 14 potential sup- pliers and 2 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the Prior Year Reserve Fund; and WHEREAS, t}iis equipment will. be used by the Department of Human Resources for the purpose of Police test scoring; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of. the Depart- ment of Human Resources recommend that the bids received from National Computer Systems and Radio Shack/Tandy Corporation be accepted as the most advantageous bids to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLOEZTDA: Section 1. The October 4, 1982 bids of National Computer Systems for furnishing one Optical Scanner System at a cost of $26,050.00; and Radio Shack/Tandy Corporation for furnishing one Micro Computer System at a cost of $15,381.20 to the Department of Human Resources for Police test scoring, at a total cost of $41,431.20, are hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the Prior Year Reserve Fund. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to Instruct the Purchasing Agent to issue Purchase Orders for this equipment.
