Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Commission:
Roger K Carlton
Director
As required in Section 23-A.1 of the City Charter, the Off -Street Parking
Board in their September 15, 1982 meeting reappointed two members for
five year terms.
The first member is Dianne Saulney Smith. Mrs. Smith is an Assistant
County Attorney with Metropolitan Dade County. She has been a member of
the Off -Street Parking Board since 1976. Mrs. Smith has taken particular
concern with ensuring that minorities are represented in the employment
of the Off -Street Parking Department as well as in construction
contracts. She has been a very effective Board member.
The second appointment is H. Gordon Wyllie who is Chairman of the Board
and President of Southeast Properties, a subsidary of Southeast Banks.
Mr. Wyllie has been on the Board since 1976 and has taken a leadership
role in representing the interest of major developers and the financial
comumunity.
The Off -Street Parking Board was unanimous in reappointment of these
members and strongly recommends your confirmation of these two
appointments. Either Mr. Carlton or I will be available at the City
Commission meeting at your request.
Sincerlely,
M he"l fson
