A RESOLUTION ORDERING LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT, H-4482 AND DESIGNATING THE
PROPERTY AGAINST WHICH SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS
SHALL BE MADE FOR A PORTION OF THE COST
THEREOF AS LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT, H-4482.
WHEREAS, the overall condition of the street
rights of way in the western portion of the Little River
area has deteriorated; and
WHEREAS, most of the streets in this portion
of Little River have parkways in poor condition due to
extensive on -street parking; pavement that is out of grade
or off -center; and extensive drainage problems exist; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvements will include
new asphaltic pavement, concrete sidewalk, storm drainage,
curbs and/or gutters, and landscaping; and
WHEREAS, LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT is
included in the City of :Miami's Capital Improvement Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. A local improvement described as LITTLE
RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, 11-4482, shall be made under Section
56 of the Charter of the City of Miami, as amended, located
in the area bounded by N.W. 73 Street on the south, N.W. 79
Street on the north, N. Miami Avenue on the east and N.W. 7
Avenue on the west.

Section 2. This improvement shall include
clearing and grading, construction of asphaltic concrete
pavement, concrete curbs and/or gutters, concrete side-
walk, storm drainage facilities and landscaped areas.
Section 3. This improvement shall be designated
in all proceedings and assessments as LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT, H-4482, and the property against which
special assessments shall be made for a portion of the cost
thereof, hereunder shall be designated as LITTLE RIVER
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, H-4482, with the following
property descriptions by lot and block number constituting
all of the pieces of property affected by the said improve-
ment:

RESOLUTION ORDERING
For Commission Meeting of
December 9, 1982
The Department of Public Works recommends
adoption of a resolution ordering the
LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, H-4482
in the LITTLE FIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT, H-4482.
In a continuing effort to serve the residents of the City of Miami,
a local improvement described as LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT,
r-4482 is being proposed as an assessable improvement under Section
56 of the Charter of the City of Miami. This district is bordered
by N.W. 73 Street, N.W. 79 Street, N. Miami Avenue and N,1,1. 7
Avenue.
The overall condition of the street rights of wavy in this area has
become severely deteriorated. Side parkways are in poor condition
due to extensive on -street parking; pavement is out of grade and/or
off -center; and drainage problems are extensive.
All of these problems will be corrected by LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT. The proposed construction will include new asphaltic
pavement, concrete sidewalk, concrete curb and/or gutters, storm
drainage and landscaping.
LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT is currently included in the City
of Miami's 1982-1988 Capital Improvement Program. The construction
of this improvement will be funded by Highway and Storm Sewer
General Obligation Bond Funds.
This improvement shall be designated in all proceedings and assess-
ments as LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, H-4482 and the property
against which special assessments .shall be made for a portion of the
cost thereof, shall be designated as LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVE-
MENT DISTRICT, H-4482.

REASON FOR WORK - Deterioration of street rights of way; erosion
of parkway areas due to extensive on -street
parking and a lack of adequate storm drainage;
pavement that is out of grade and/or off center.
PROJECT COST - Estimated Construction Cost - $1,300,000
Estimated Total Cost - $1,500,000
SOURCE OF FUNDS - HIGHWAY GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS
STORM SEWER GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS
ESTIMATED ASSESSMENT - $8.15 per front foot. *
* An additional $2.15 per front foot should be
added to the assessment if new sidewalk has
to be constructed.
