Pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received November 12, 1982 for furnishing Three (3) Automatic Floor Scrubbers and Accessories to the Department of Conferences and Conventions. Invitations were mailed to 29 potential suppliers and 10 bids were received as per the attached tabulation. Four (4) "No Bids" were also received. This is a regular purchase of new equipment to be used at the Miami Convention Center by the Operations Division for regular maintenance. Funds for this purchase are available in the 1980 City of Miami Convention Center and Parking Garage Revenue Bond Fund. The Conference Center Department concurs with this recommendation. Fuller Company is not acceptable as it lacks the specified requirement of ability to convert to a dry vacuum. The next lowest bid of Quality Chemical Company meets all specifications.
