RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE GEOGRAPHICAL,
EXPANSION OF THE; CITY'S SINGLE FAMILY RFSIDEN-
TIAL REHABILITATION LOAN PROGRAM TO A PART OF
THE LITTLE HAVANA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TARGET
AREA AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
IMPLEMENT SAID? PROGRAM WITHIN SPECIFIED
BOUNDARIES OF THE LITTLE HAVANA AREA DESCRIBED
HEREIN AND OUTLINED IN THE PAP ATTACHED HERETIC
AND INCORPORATED HEREIN BY REFERENCE.
WHEREAS, in order to encourage neighborhood redevelopment
and the conservation of existing housing stock, the City of
Miami is administering a Community Development Block Grant funded
Single Farnil.y Residential Rehabilitation Program in the C. D.
Target Areas of Allapattah, Edison/Little River, Model City,
Coconut Grove and Wynwood; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that there is sufficient
need, and interest and funds available in the program budget to
warrant expansion of the program to the Little Havana Neighbor-
hood;
NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT RESOLVED 13Y THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLO RInA:
Section 1. Geographical Expansion of. the City's Single
Family Residential Rehabilitation Loan Program is hereby approved
and the City Manager is hereby authorized to direct staff to
implement said program within a Section of the Little Havana
Community Development Target Area described as that area
generally bounded by Northwest 7th Street on the South; Southwest
27th Avenue on the West; Southwest 17th Street on the South; and
Southwest 12th Avenue on the mast and as outlined in the map
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9 day of DECEMBER 1982.

It is recommended that the City
Commission approve a Resolution
approving expansion of the City's
Single Family Residential Rehabil-
itation Loan Program to include
a portion of the Little Havana
Community Development Target Area.
The Department of Community Development has administered a Community Development
Block Grant funded single family Residential Rehabilitation loan and grant
program since 1979 in the designated Great Neighborhood areas of the Edison/
Little River, Allapattah, Model City, Coconut Grove and Wynwood Taroet Areas.
The City Commission has recently requested that the Program be expanded to
the Little Havana Target Area. The Commission directed the administration to
recommend boundaries within the Little Havana Area for the program. It is
recommended that the program be implemented in the areas of the neighborhood
zoned R1 and R2 as per the attached map.
