WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received November 23, 1982 for the furnishing of one Outdoor Vacuum Sweeper to the Department of. Conferences and Conventions; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 27 potential suppliers and 4 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the 1980 City of Miami Convention Center and Parking Garage Revenue Bond Fund; and WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Conferences and Conventions for the purpose of providing regular maintenance at the Miami Convention Center; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Conferences and Conventions recommend that the bid received from TennantCompany be accepted as the riost advantageous bid to the City; NOW, TIIERIEFORI., BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: CITY commismom MEETING off J A Ng ji`1 J RESOutrroN NO"""»� Section 1. Pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received November 23, 1982 for furnishing one Outdoor Vacuum Sweeper to the Department of Conferences and Conventions. Invitations were mailed to 27 potential suppliers and 4 bids were received as listed on the award of bid. Nine (9) "No Bids" were also received. This is a regular purchase of new equipment to be used by the Operations Division as part of normal maintenance at the Miami Convention Center. The equipment consists of a heavy duty, gasoline powered, outdoor vacuum sweeper, powered by a 4 cylinder, liquid cooled 47.5 hp. Ford Industrial Engine; and has a 15 cu. ft. 1,000 lb. capacity hopper. The Specifications were reviewed and approved by the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance. Funds for this purchase are available in the 1980 City of Miami Convention Center and Parking Garage Revenue Bond Fund. The Department of Conferences and Conventions concurs with this recommendation.
