A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING ORDERING
RESOLUTION NO. 82-1109 AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR SEALED
BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF LITTLE
RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4482 IN
LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT H-4482.
WHEREAS, at the City Commission meeting of December 9, 1982,
Resolution No. 82-1109 was passed which ordered a highway improve-
ment identified as LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, H-4482 in
LITTLE RIVER HIGH14AY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, H-4482; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to due public notice a public hearing was
held before the City Commission on January 13, 1983, as to any objec-
tions to the confirmation of Resolution No. 82-1109 which resolution
ordered LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, H-4482 in LITTLE RIVER
HIGH %7AY I'rIPROVEMENT DISTRICT, H-4482 ; and
WHEREAS, no objections to the confirmation of said highwav im-
provement were sustained by the Commission, it is therefore in order
for the Commission to confirm said ordering resolution and authorize
the City Clerk to advertise for sealed bids for the construction of
said improvement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Resolution No. 82-1109 dated December 9, 1982 which
ordered LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, H-4482 in LITTLE RIVER
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, H-4482 is hereby confirmed.
Section 2. That the City Clerk be, and he is hereby, authorized
to advertise for sealed bids for the construction of LITTLE RIVER
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, H-4482 in LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT, H-4482.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of January, 1983.

LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, H-4482, was ordered by the City
Commission on December 9, 1982. It is now in order to confirm
the ordering resolution and to authorize advertising for bids.
A public hearing. -will be held by the City Commission at their
meeting of Januaty 13, 1983. At that time the Commission will
hear objections to the confirmation of the ordering resolution,
No. 82-1109.
This improvement is being proposed as an assessable improvement
under Section 56 of the Charter of the City of Miami. This
district is bounded by N.W. 73 Street, N.W. 79 Street, N. Miami
Avenue and N.W. 7 Avenue.
The overall condition of the street rights of way in this area
of the City has deteriorated. Side parkways are in poor condition
due to extensive on -street parking; pavement is out of grade and/or
off -center; and drainage problems are extensive.
All of these problems will be corrected by LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT, H-4482. The proposed construction will include new
asphaltic pavement, concrete sidewalk, concrete curbs and/or
gutters, storm drainage facilities and landscaping.
LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT is currently included in the
City of Miami's 1982-1988 Capital Improvement Program. The construc-
tion of this improvement will be funded by Highway and Storm Sewer
General Obligation Bond Funds.

This improvement shall be designated in all proceedings and
assessments as LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, H-4482 and
the property against which special assessments shall be made
for a portion of the cost thereof, shall be designated as
LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, H-4482.

PERTINENT INFORMATION
LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4482
A. The overall condition of the street rights of way in the
western portion of the Little River area has severely
deteriorated.
B. Most of the streets in this area have parkways in poor
condition due to extensive on -street parking, pavement
that is out of grade or off center, and extensive drainage
problems.
C. The proposed improvements will include clearing and grading,
construction of new asphaltic pavement, concrete sidewalk,
storm drainage facilities, concrete curbs and/or gutters and
landscaping.
D. Little River Highway Improvement is included in the City of
Miami's 1982-88 Capital Improvement Program.
ACTION TO BE TAKEN
1. A local improvement designated as LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT H-4482 shall be made under Section 56 of the
Charter of the City of Miami, as amended, located in the
area bounded by N.W. 73 Street on the south, N.W. 79 Street
on the north, N. Miami Avenue on the east, and N.W. 7 Avenue
on the west.
2. This improvement shall be designed in all proceedings and
assessments as LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4482, and
the property against which special assessments shall be made
for a portion of the cost thereof, hereunder shall be de-
signated as LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4482.
