WHEREAS, the City Commission after_ careful consideration of
this matter deems it advisable and in the best interest of the
general welfare of the City of Miami and its inhabitants to grant
this change of zoning classification as hereinafter :yet forth;
NOW, THERFFORP, 5F IT ORDAINFn R', THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1, ordinance No, 6P71, as amended, the Compre-
hensive Zoning ordinance of the City of Miami, is hereby amended
by changing the zoning classification of the areas located
approximately at 100-174 Northwest 9th Street, 800-898 'Northwest
lst Avenue, and 101-175 Northwest Pth Street, also collecti.vely
described as Tract "A", Tentative Plat #1182, "Dorsey Heights",
from C-5 (Liberal Commercial) to R-4(medi.ufu densitti); and by making
all the necessary changes in the Toning district map mace a part
of said Ordinance No, 6P71, by reference and description in
Article ITT, Section 2, thereof.

West Corlmunity Redevelopment Plan (City Cc-nissi.on
Resolution 82-755) the City is initiating a major
redevelopment program for the central core area
of the City. The subject property is located directly
northeast of the Overto;an Transit Station an north
of the 4 block area slated for public acquisition
as part of the UMTA funded Overtown Station Area
Redevelopment Program.
The proposed reuse of the subject property is for
moderate to high density residential develoTD7�ent.
The land (2+ acres) has been purchased with both
City and County Community Development Block Grant
Funds.

Commercial) to R-4 (Medium Density Multiple
