AMENDMENT NO. TO ORDINANCE NO. 8719
ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 8719, ADOPTED OCTOBER 26, 1977, THE
SUMMARY GRANT APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE, AS
AMENDED: BY ESTABLISHING A NEW TRUST AND
' AGENCY FUND ENTITLED: "INTERNATIONAL TRADE
PROMOTION PROGRAM"; APPROPRIATING FUNDS
FOR THE OPERATION OF SAID TRUST AND AGENCY
FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $225,000; CONTAINING
A REPEALER PROVISION AND SEVERABILITY CLAUSE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 8719 on
October 26, 1977, establishing resources and app7opriations for grant
funds anticipated by the City of Miami, Fjorid y and for corresponding
City matching funds; and . .�
WHEREAS, the City Commission adopt e F ebolution No. on
February 10, 1983, authorizing the City A' I 'agei to jaccept a grant
award from the Florida Department of n6rce ih-the amount of • $225,000
for an International Trade Promotio;";Piogram; and

WHEREAS, the City of Miami, wily -'use these grant funds to plan,
coordinate, support or conduct ,4 Trade Fair(s) or Exposition(s) in
the Miami area; and
WHEREAS, the thru `t of the Trade Fair(s) or Exposition(s) will
be to expand and diver trade among nations of the world through
a special Emphasis o� velopment of markets and the export of capital
t
goods and ts,chno o mong and between these nations; and

he orementioned grant award will assist the City's
Department o Trade Promotion carry out its duties and
responsibilities to stimulate trade in Miami;
NOW, TAtREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 8719, adopted October 26,
1977, the Summary Grant Appropriations Ordinance, as amended, is hereby
further amended in the following particulars: l/
