HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-83-0135r J-83-45 RESOLUTION NO. S3-135 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COMPLETED WORK OF MIRI CONSTRUCTION, INC. AT A TOTAL COST OF $344,814.40 FOR BUENA VISTA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PAVING PROJECT - PHASE VI; AND AUTHORIZING A FINAL PAYMENT OF $36,669.25 WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated October 27, 1981 between the City of Miami and Miri Construction, Inc.; and WHEREAS, the work has been satisfactorily completed, , and Miri Construction, Inc. has furnished the required documents certifying that all bills for labor and materials have been paid in full in connection with the aforesaid contract; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Public Works recommend that the completed work be accepted and final payment made to the contractor; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The completed work performed by Miri Construction, Inc. for BUENA VISTA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PAVING PROJECT - PHASE VI at a total cost of $344,814.40 is hereby approved. Section 2. The proper officials of the City of Miami are hereby authorized to pay $36,669.25 as full and final payment for all work performed and all materials furnished in connection with BUENA VISTA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PAVING PROJECT - PHASE VI. Cather Director of Publi r, Works ME SUBJECT BUENA VISTA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PAVING PROJECT - PHASE VI - Resolution for Final Payment REFERENCES: ENCLOSURES (For Commission Meeting of February 10, 1983) The Department of Public Works recommends the adoption of the resolution accepting the completed work; and authorizing a final payment of $36,669.25 to Miri Construction, Inc. for BUENA VISTA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PAVING PROJECT - PHASE VI. Miri Construction, Inc. has completed the project consisting of constructing 0.7 mile of street, including asphaltic pavement, concrete curb and gutters, concrete sidewalk, a covered ditch drainage system, and landscaping. The project is located in the area bounded by N. W. 46-50 Streets between N. W. 5-6 Avenues. The original contract amount was for $354,157.76, and the completed amount is $344,814.40.
