IN THE PROPOSED AMOUNT OF $74,535.00, BASE BID OF THE PROPOSAL, FOR THE DINNER KEY - PILE REPLACEMENT; 14ITH MONIES THEREFOR ALLOCATED FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "MAJOR MA114TENANCE - DINNER KEY MARINA", IN THE AMOUNT OF $74,535.00 TO COVER THE CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $9,689.55 TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM SAID FUND THE AMOUNT OF $1,490.70 TO COVER THE COST OF _ SUCH ITEMS AS ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES, AND POSTAGE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on January 25, 1983 for DINNER KEY - PILE REPLACEMENT; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid of Florida Marine Construction, Inc., for the base bid of the proposal, is the lowest responsible bid, and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and WHEREAS, the Capital Improvements Appropriation Ordinance No. 9534, as amended, was adopted on December 9, 1932, and monies are available for the proposed amount of the contract, project expense, and incidentals, from the account i entitled "Major Maintenance - Dinner Key Marina", as set forth under Section XV.B.1 of said ordinance; NOW, TH;REFORE, BE IT RESOLED BY THE COM11ISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The January 25, 1983 bid of Florida Marine Construction, Inc., in the proposed amount of $74,535.00, for the project entitled DINNER KEY - PILE REPLACEMENT, for the base bid of the proposal, is hereby accepted at the price stated therein. Section 2. The amount of $74,535.00 is hereby allocated from the account entitled "Florida Marine Construction, Inc. to cover the cost of said contract. The Department of Public Works recommends adoption of the resolution accepting the bid of Florida Marine Construction, Inc. received January 25, 1983 for the base bid of the proposal, in the amount of $74,535.00; and authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Miami for DINNER KEY - PILE REPLACEMENT. Bids were received on January 25, 1983 for DINNER KEY - PILE REPLACEMENT. This project is to replace deteriorated piles and deteriorated wood piers. As reflected in the tabulation of bids, the $74,535.00 bid of Florida Marine Construction, Inc. is the lowest responsible bid for the base bid of the proposal.
