WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received December 29, 1982 for the furnishing of Golf Course Maintenance Equipment to the Department of Parks; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 22 potential suppliers and 3 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the 1982-1983 Operating Budget; and WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Parks for the purpose of replacing worn equipment; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Parks recommend that the bids received from DeBra Turf and Industrial Equipment and Hector Turf and Garden be accepted as the most advan- tageous bids to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The December 29, 1982 bids of DeBra Turf and Industrial Equipment at a cost of $8,229.00 and Hector Turf and CITY COMMISSION MEETING OF F F R 10 1963 RESOWTION 1t Garden at a cost of $6,235.00 for furnishing Two (2) items of Golf Course Maintenance Equipment to the Department of Parks at total cost of $14,464.00 are hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the 1982-1983 Operating Budget of the Golf Course Enterprise Fund. Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Purchasing Agent to issue Purchase Orders for this equipment. Pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received December 29, 1982 for furnishing Golf Course Maintenance Equipment to the Department of Parks. Invitations were mailed to 22 potential suppliers and 3 bids were received as listed on the award of bid. Thirteen (13) "No Bids" were also received. This is a regular purchase of new equipment needed to replace the worn out greens mower and sand trap rake at the Miami Springs Golf Course. This equipment is used regularly to maintain the course for public use. Funds for this purchase are available in the 1982-1983 Operating Budget of the Golf Course Enterprise Fund. The Department of Parks concurs with this recommendation. All other bids meet the specifications.
