" —k,99 A RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTION 1 OF RESOLUTION NO. 82-1101, ADOPTED NOVEMBER 4, 1982, WHICH ALLOCATED FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING (F.R.S.) FUNDS FOR APPROVED SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES FOR THE BALANCE OF FISCAL YEAR 1982-83, BY PROVIDING THAT THE AMOUNT ALLOCATED THEREIN TO ACTION COMMUNITY CENTER BE INCREASED BY $20,200 FROM $31,604 TO $51,804 TO BE TAKEN FROM SOCIAL SERVICE PROGRAMS, SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND ACCOUNTS, THEREBY INCREASING THE TOTAL F.R.S. ALLOCATION BY $20,200 FROM $700,851 TO $721,051. WHEREAS, the City Commission has allocated Fiscal Year 1982-83 Federal Revenue Sharing Funds to approved social service agencies through Resolution Nos. 82-893, 82-909 and 82-1011; and WHEREAS, the City Commission also adopted Motion No. 82-1007 which expressed intent to increase Action Community Center's allocation by an amount not to exceed $20,200; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Section 1 of Resolution No. 82-1101, adopted November 4, 1982, which allocated $700,851 of Federal Revenue Sharing Funds to previously approved social service agencies previously appropriated by Ordinance No. 9481, adopted September 9, 1982, is hereby amended in the following particulars:l "Sec. 1. $-700 851 $721,051 of Federal Revenue Sharing funds previously appropriated by Ordinance No. 9481, adopted September 23 9, 1982, is hereby allocated to those agencies listed herein for the period.Decem- ber 1, 1982 through September 30, 1983: 1 Words and/or figures stricken through shall be deleted. Underscored words and/or figures shall be added. Remaining provisions are now in effect and remain unchanged. Asterisks indicate omitted and unchanged material. NOTE: The source of funding for the herein increase of $20,200 to the allocation for Action Community Center is the Social Service Programs, Special Programs and Accounts. FLORIDA INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM Dena Spillman, Director Community Development Department DATE January 19, 1983 FILE SUBJEC- Resolution increasing F.R.S. funding of Action Community Center REFERENCES City Commission Aoenda of February 10, 1983 ENCLOSURES It is recommended that the City Commission amend Section 1 of ResoTH-ion #82-1011 by increasing the allocation of F.R.S. funds to Action Community Center, by $20,200. At its November 4, 1982 meeting, the City Commission adopted Resolution Mo. 82-1011 which allocated the balance of Fiscal Year 1982-83 Federal Revenue Sharing Funds to approved social service agencies. At the same meeting, the Commission passed Motion No. 82-1007 which expressed the intent to increase funding of Action Community Center by $20,200 (for a total of $58,470 for FY'82-83). These funds will be used primarily for the direct operation of the vehicles in the insurance, gasoline, maintenance and repair line items ($16,400). The balance ($3,800) will be directed to telephone service, office and/or special equipment, office supplies, printing and reproduction. The attached resolution formalizes the intent of this proposed resolution will increase the total munity Center to $58,470 and increase the total social programs to $861,223 for FY'82-83.
