FILE
The Greater Miami Women's Golf Association has requested a waiver of
green fees for their 1983 tournaments to be held May 23, at Melreese
Country Club and August 16, at the City of Miami Country Club in
Miami Springs.
In that the City has, over the past several years, granted such
waivers, it is again recommended that approval be granted for this
year's events. In addition, other municipalities have approved the
same annual arrangements.
The City will derive revenues from mandatory electric cart rentals
required by each participant and the purchase of all awards through
the respective golf course pro shops. Also, a good many of the
Association's members are regular players throughout the year.
Inasmuch as there is no cost to the City for this event, it is there-
fore the recommendation of the Department of Recreation that the
request of the Greater Miami Women's Golf Association be granted as
per the attached resolution.
