Section 5. This ordinance is heveby declared to be an emergency
measure on the grounds of urgent pub is need for the preservation of peace,

Appropriations Ordinance 9502

Department of International
Trade Promotion
It is recommended that the Citv Commission
increase the General Fund appropriation
for FY '83 in the amount of $42,271.00 for
the purpose of rectifying a budget omission
made inadvertently during the budget pre-
paration process, at the time the new
Department of International Trade Promotion
came into being. The funds will be applied
to support a Marketing Services Administrator
in the Department of International Trade
Promotion. Revenue in a like amount is
available from Miscellaneous Revenue and
can be allocated to fund this position.
The present occupant of this position will be assisting the local
Miami trade organizations such as the Latin Chamber of Commerce,
Interamerican Chamber of Commerce, F.E.I.A. and Miami Dade Chamber
of Commerce in the implementation of their export development
programs. The Marketing Services Administrator will coordinate
the activities of these organizations with the Department of
International Trade Promotion. This position will cost $42,271.00
for salary and related expenses.
The attached proposed ordinance is for the March 18, 1983 City
Commission meeting.
