The Honorable Maurice Ferre
Mayor, City of Miami
P. 0. Box 330708
Miami, Florida 33133
Dear Mayor Ferre:
This letter is to given written notice that the Tishman-Speyer/Equitable
Application for Development Approval contains sufficient information for
regional impact review.
A Development of Regional Impact public hearing as required by Chapter
380.06(10), Florida Statutes, must be set at your next scheduled meeting
and advertised at least sixty (60) days in advance of the hearing. The
hearing notice must specify that the information and reports on the
Development of Regional Impact Application may be reviewed at the Council
and/or City of Miami offices.
The law also requires that the notice of public hearing be transmitted to
the Division of Local Resource Management, Florida Department of
Community Affairs, and the South Florida Regional Planning Council.
Receipt of that notice will officially commence our fifty day review
period. At this time, the South Florida Regional Planning Council staff
report and recommendations are tentatively scheduled to be presented for
official action at the regular Council meeting on June 6, 1983.
