HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem #48 - First Reading OrdinanceJ-83-3(;3 ORDINANCE N0. vAN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 9500, AS AMENDED, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, BY AMENDING SECTIONS 1556 ENTITLED "MINIMUM LOT REQUIREMENTS; FLOOR AREA LIMITATIONS; MINIMUM OPEN SPACE REQUIREMENTS, LIMITATIONS", AND 1558 ENTITLED "OFF-STREET PARKING AND LOADING", OF ARTICLE 15 ENTITLED "SPI: SPECIAL PUBLIC INTERESTS DISTRICTS", BY PROVIDING FOR INCREASED FLOOR AREA AND INCREASED DISTANCE TO REMOTE SITE PARKING RESPECTIVELY; BY AMENDING SECTION 2012 ENTITLED "DEFINITIONS AND METHODS OF MEASUREMENT RELATING TO STANDARD LUI RATIOS; REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS" OF ARTICLE 20 ENTITLED "GENERAL AND SUPPLEMENTARY REGULA- TIONS;" FURTHER, AMENDING SECTION 36 ENTITLED "GENERAL" OF ARTICLE 36 ENTITLED "DEFINI- TIONS;" AND BY REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES, CODE SECTIONS, OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT; AND CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. WHEREAS, the Miami Planning Advisory Board at its meeting of March 16, 1983, Item No. 2(a), following an advertised hearing, adopted Resolution No. PAB-29-831 by a 4 to 0 vote, RECOMMENDING DENIAL of an amendment to Section 1558 of Ordinance No. 9500, as hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, motions relative to proposed amendments to Sections 1556, 2012 and 3602 of said Ordintaricet,tailed to obtain the required number of votes necessary for,)AB fiction under its rules of procedure, thus constituting ei:RZtOMMENDATION OF DENIAL of amendments to Ordinance No. 5.0441 as hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, the City Commi ion, notwithstanding the Planning Advisory Board's recommendation, after careful consideration of this matter, deems i advisable and in the best interest of the general welfare•of City of Miami and its inhabitants to grant these amend�ent 'as hereinafter set forth; NOW, THE RE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY i OF MIAMI, FLO,",DA: Section 1.
