Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing to you concerning the possibility of my being appointed
to the Miami Waterfront Board.
I have officially been endorsed by the Board of Directors of the
Morningside Homeowners' Association to be on the Waterfront Board.It._was
made clear, of course, that this endorsement was no assurance that
I would ultimately be appointed to the Board. However, I feel
that it should be brought to your attention that I have the support
of the more than six hundred (600) Morningside residents.
I possess the requisite knowledge and interest to effectively
carry out the duties of a Board member. As a second -year student
at the University of Miami School of Law, I have some basic
knowledge of land use, zoning regulations and other matters re-
lating to real property. In addition, I have long had an interest
in preserving our area's natural resources. However, I feel that
these resources should be utilized in the most effective way
possible. The delicate balance between maximum utilization and
preservation can, and must, be maintained in order to accomplish
South Florida's long-term goals.
Because I have the necessary qualifications for this position,
I request that I be actively and seriously considered.
I would like to use my knowledge and skills to benefit the commu-
nity in which I live. I feel that I can do this by being appointed
to the Miami Waterfront Board.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
