BACKGROUND The property is owned and occupied by the Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged. The subject parcel is zoned R-4 in Zoning Ordinance 6871 which permits nursing homes and convalescent homes subject to Conditional Use approval. Per Zoning Ordinance 9500 the property is zoned RG-2/5 which does not permit nursing homes and convalescent homes. The property owners called this oversight to the attention of the Planninq Department. ANALYSIS A change of zoning to RG-3/5 in Zoning Ordinance 9500 would permit nursing homes and convalescent homes, subject to Special Exception permit.
