A RESOLUTION COMMITTING $300,000 IN CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FUNDS TO THE MOORE PARK
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT FOR THE SIXTEEN (16)
MONTH PERIOD BEGINNING JUNE 1, 1983 AND
ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1984, IN ORDER TO MEET
THE 30% MATCH REQUIREMENT FOR A $699,900
GRANT AWARD FROM THE URBAN PARK AND RECREATION
RECOVERY PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City proposes to rehabilitate Moore Park; and
WHEREAS, funds are available on a 30/70 local/federal basis
from the Urban Park and Recreation Recovery Program for nark
rehabilitation; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $300,000 are available to
meet the match requirement from the Capital Improvement Proqram;
and
WHEREAS, federal legislation requires that projects funded
through the current round of the Urban Park and Recreation
Recovery Program be completed by September 30, 1984;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby commits $300,000
in Capital Improvement Program Funds to the Moore Park Redevelopment
Project for the sixteen (16) month period beginning June 1, 1963
and ending September 30, 1964, in order to meet the 30% match
requirement for a $699,900 grant award from the Urban Park and
Recreation Recovery Program.

"It is recommended that the City Manager be
authorized to accept $699,900 in Urban Park
and Recreation Recovery Program grant funds
from the U. S. Department of the Interior
National Park Service for the Moore Park
Redevelopment Project and to execute the
appropriate agreement to implement this
project, per the attached Resolution."
Inasmuch as the above grant will provide a total of $699,900
for the redevelopment of Moore Park, it is recommended that
the funds be accepted and the agreement executed.
