CITY COMMISSION
MEETING OF
JUN 5 IM
RESGLUIW.a 1— 83-462—'
(REMARKS _
— --
Honorable Mayor and Members of June 2, 1983
the City Commission
Proposed resolution amending
Section 5 of Resolution No. 83-330(adopt-
ed April 6, 1983)- June 9, 1983 Meeting
Jose R. Garcia -Pedrosa East Little Havana Task Force
City Attorney Resolution No. 83-33U
1
On April 6, 1983 the commission passed Resolution No. 83-330
establishing the East Little Havana Task Force and providing
that its recommendations were to be presented to the commission
for approval within 60 days from April 6, 1983.
On May 31, 1983 the commission amended Resolution No. 83-330
by increasing to 13 the number of members and by making the
additional appointments. The deadline for the report of the
task force was not, however, changed. Accordingly, the task
force, several members of which were appointed on May 31, 1983,
would only have until June 6, 1983 to carry out its charge and
make recommendations.
Attached is a proposed resolution providing that the deadline
for the report with recommendations is to be made at the
second July meeting, currently scheduled for July 28, 1983,
which would give to the task force almost 60 days from May
31, 1983 to do its work.
