"It is recommended that the City of
Miami Edison Center Park at N.W.
62 Street and 5 Avenue, be named
the 'Athalie Range Park' in recog-
nition and in honor of her distin-
guished service to the citizens of
the City of Miami."
As per the discussion of the City Commission at their meeting on
May 31, 1983, the administration was instructed to proceed with
the renaming of a park in honor of Ms. Athalie Range.
Edison Center Park is the park recommended by this Department
as it is near Ms. Range's neighborhood, and is named for the
subdivision in which it is located rather than for any individual
person.
A telephone poll of the Miami Memorial Committee was conducted,
and its members agree with renaming Edison Center Park at N.W.
62 Street and 5 Avenue, the "Athalie Range Park."
