WHEREAS, the City Clerk's Office provides a service to any person by making available copies of public records; and WHEREAS, in providing copies of public records the use of microfilm in the preservation of such public records has resulted in increased materials cost and staff time; and WHEREAS, the cost of orovidinq copies of audio cassettes used by the Citv Clerk in the voice recording of City Commission meetings has to be considered in rendering this service to those requesting the same; and WHEREAS, the cost of providing such copies of public records has increased dramatically since the enactment of the present fee schedule; and WHEREAS, the herein fee schedule shall help defray the cost of providing copies of public records to those individuals requiring the same; NOW, THEREFOR", BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Section 2-47 of. the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:l "Sec. 2-47. Fees for copies of ordinances and other records. ( a ) For the ore -partition and issuance of a}} eepies photocopies, of: resolutions, ordinances and all other off.—'r a records of the city prepared and issued through the city clerk's office, the city 1 Words and/or figures stricken through shall be deleted. ( b) For the preparation and issuance of conies of resolute ns, ordinances ail all other official records on microfilm, the city clerk shall. collect a fee of one dollar ($1.00) for Each page. (c) For the service of duplicating cassette tapes from or� teal tapes used by the city clerk in the voice recordinq of city commission meetin�ls, the city clerk shall collect a Fee of five dollars ($5.00) for such service provided the person requesting such service furnishes his or her own cassette; if the city clerk furnishes the cassette, he shall collect a fee of ei<3ht dollars (,8.00). ( d ) For certifvinq any document, the city clerk shall collect a fee of two dollars (52.00) for each document.~ (e) Where an extraordinary time constraint is designated by the person re-ruestinq copies of records or cassettes, r_eauirinq extraordinary expenditure of time by the city clerk's office to comply with the time constraint, the city clerk shall collect the cost of providing such extraordinary services in addition to the fees set forth in subsections (a) , (b) , (c) and (d) of this section. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, insofar as they are in conflict, are hereby repealed. Section 3. If any section, mart of section, paragraph, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining provisions of this ordinance shall not be affected.
