"JJJ, ^.;; )";I;SENTED BY THE CITY OF NEW YORK AND MAYOR ED KOCH. A RESOLUTION COMMENDING CONGRESSMAN CLAUDE D. PEPPER ON HIS SUPPORT FOR REPEAL OF THE FINANCIAL INTEREST AND SYNDICATION RULES ADOPTED BY THE FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION (FCC) IN 1971 AND URGING THE FCC TO REPEAL THESE RULES; FURTHER URGING CONGRESS TO DEFEAT H.R. 2250, THE "HOLLYWOOD BILL", WHICH WOULD CRIPPLE FREE, OVER -THE -AIR TELEVISION BY ADOPTING A STATUTE EXCLUDING ONLY THE NETWORKS FROM THE SYNDICATION OF TELEVISION PROGRAMMING; FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO FORWARD COPIES OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE HEREIN NAMED PUBLIC OFFICIALS.
