ENCLOSURES:
In the Commission meeting of May 31, 1983 you instructed the
Administration to reduce the rental rates charged to Coconut
Grove Cares, Inc. for the use of the Coconut Grove Exhibition
Center for their monthly antique shows. This reduction would
be in the amount of $2,000 per show.
We would like to point out that such a reduction would be in
violation of the City Code (953-151, 53-152). we therefore
recommend that instead of a reduction, the City award a grant
of $2,000 to Coconut Grove Cares, each time they hold an
antique show. Four more shows are planned for this fiscal
year.
We will present a Resolution for your approval, granting them
$2,000 for the show already held and another $2,000 for this
weekend's show. A total of $4,000.
