FOR FURNISHING AND INSTALLING TWO (2) BUILDING SIGNS FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF BUILDING AND VEHICLE MAINTENANCE AT A TOTAL COST OF $9,450.00; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE POLICE HEADQUARTERS AND CRIME PREVENTION FACILITIES GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND FUND; AUTHORIZING THE CITY !`TANAGER AND THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE A PURCIIASE ORDER FOR THIS EQUIPMENT. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received March 25, 1983 for the furnishing of all labor and - materials for the fabrication and installation of two (2) Building Signs to the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 26 potential suppliers and 5 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the Police Headquarters and Crime Prevention Facilities General Obligation Bond Fund; and WHEREAS, this equipment and service will be used by the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance for the purpose of providing distantly visible identification of Police Buildings; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance recommend that the bid received from Signs of All Kinds, Inc. be accepted as the most advantageous bid to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The March 25, 1983 bid of Signs of All Kinds, Inc. for furnishing and installing Two (2) Building Signs for the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance at a total cost of $9,450.00 is hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the Police Headquarters and Crime Prevention Facilities General Obligation Bond Fund.
