(b) Create an exciting downtown "marketplace" Including: promotions, events. vending, cafes, etc. (c) Initiate short and long-term design improvements. The DOWNTOWN MIAMI MANAGEMENT "TUDY (cost $25,000-$35,000) would look into the following Issues and problems: (a) Supplementing Cit) service,, (b) Establishing a Downtown Miami Special District (c) Coordination of promotion and events (d) Establishing a "theme" or image for Downtown (e) Developing a vendor policy (f) Developing a joint funding scheme (g).. These include: (1) Jointly fund Management Study (2) Establish a street vendor policy (3) Establish one agency as the coordinator for the Downtown Miami Special District (4) Fill in lay-bys and add street furniture (5) Improve marketing and sales techniques (6) Propose expanded evening police service (7) Study supplementing other City services The Downtown Development Authority and the Downtown Miami Business Association wi1) be Involved In establishing the Downtown Miami Special Zoning District and will be working on new sign ordinances. delivery schedules, funding strategies, etc.
