A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COMPLETED
WORK OF LANZO CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION
AT A TOTAL COST OF $1,983,650.08
FOR RIVERVIEW STOR11 SEWER PROJECT -
PHASE I (2ND BIDDING) - BID A2; AND
AUTHORIZING A FINAL PAYMENT OF
$26,318.70
WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated Septem-
ber 24, 1980 between the City of Niami and Lanzo Construc-
tion Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the work has been satisfactorily
completed, and Lanzo Construction Corporation has furnished
thu required documents certifying that all bills for
labor and materials have been paid in full in connection
with the aforesaid contract; and
Whereas, the City :tanager and the Department
of Public Works recommend that the completed work be
accepted and final payment made to the contractor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CO\,D1ISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI , FLORIDA:
Section 1. The completed work performed by
Lanzo Construction Corporation for RIVERVIEW STORMM
SEWER PROJECT - PHASE I (2ND BIDDING) - BID A2 at a
total cost of $1,983,650.08 is hereby approved.
Section 2. The proper officials of the City
or Miami are hereby authorized to pay $26,318.70 to
Lanzo Construction Corporation as full and final payment
for all work performed and all materials furnished
in connection with RIVERVIEW STORM SEWER PROJECT -
PHASE I (2ND BIDDING) - BID A2.

The Department of Public Works recommends the
adoption of the resolution accepting the
completed work and authorizing a final payment
of �26,318.70 to Lanzo Construction Corporation
for RIVERVIEW STORM SEWER PROJECT - PHASE I
(2ND BIDDING) - BID A2.
Lanzo Construction Corporation has completed the project consisting
of constructing a new gravity storm sewer system using 8" - 84"
pipe, a 5-foot wide covered ditch in N.W. 7 Street west of 13 Avenue
and a 78-inch outfall into the Miami River at N.W. 13 Avenue. It
was a companion project to the construction of a pumping station at
N.W. 6 Street and 13 Avenue completed as Bid "B" by another contrac-
tor. Together the two projects provide storm drainage for 107 acres
in the vicinity of West Flagler Street and will eliminate severe
local flooding problems at S.W. 1 Street and 11 Avenue, West Flagler
Street and 12 Avenue, N.W. 1 Street and 13 Avenue, and other
locations in the area.
The original contract amount was for $2,150,294.00, and the completed
amount is $1,983,650.08. It was completed on time. The source of
funds is, "Storm Sewer G.O. Bond Fund".
It is now in order for the Commission to accept the completed work
and authorize final payment, after all conditions are met.
