AT A TOTAL COST OF $'_,185,873.57 FOR RIVERVIEW STORM SEWER PROJECT - PHASE I (2ND BIDDING) - B1D "B"; AND AUTHORIZING A FINAL PAYMENT OF $82,387.12 WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated August 14, 1983 between the City of Miami and Intercounty Construction Corporation; and WHEREAS, the original contract was increased on April 1, 1982 by Resolution No. 82-321 and on October 14, 1982 by Resolution No. 82-962 in the amounts of $12,000 and $30,000 respectively; and WHEREAS, the work has been satisfactorily completed, and Intercounty Construction Corporation has furnished the required documents.certifying that all bills for labor and materials have been paid in full in connection with the aforesaid contract; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Public Works recommend that the completed work be accepted and final payment made to the contractor; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The completed work performed by Intercounty Construction Corporation for RIVERVIEW STORM SEWER PROJECT - PHASE I (2ND BIDDING) - BID "B" at a total cost of $2,185,873.57 is hereby approved. Section 2. The proper officials of the City of Miami are hereby authorized to pay $82,387.12 to Intercounty Construction Corporation as full and final payment for all work performed and all materials furnished in connection with RIVERVIEW STORM SEWER PROJECT - PHASE I (2ND BIDDING) - BID "B". Cather REFERENCES Director of u lic Works � / ENCLOSURES (For Commission Meeting of September 7, 1983) The Department of Public Works recommends the adoption of the resolution accepting the completed work and authorizing a final payment of $82,387.12 to Intercounty Construction Corporation for RIVERVIEW STORM SEWER PROJECT - PHASE I (2ND BIDDING) - BID "B". Intercounty Construction Corporation has completed the project consisting of constructing a storm sewer pumping station located on the corner of N.W. 6 Street at N.W. 13 Avenue. This pumping station was constructed to pump storm water col- lected by a gravity system constructed under Bid A of this project under another contract. Together the two projects provide storm drainage for 107 acres in the vicinity of West Flagler Street and 12 Avenue, and will eliminate severe local flooding problems at S.W. 1 Street and 11 Avenue, West Flagler Street and 12 Avenue, N.W. 1 Street and 13 Avenue, and other locations in the area. The original contract amount was for $2,146,000.00 and was increased by Resolution No. 82-321 dated April 1, 1982 and Resolution No. 82-962 dated October 14, 1982. The completed amount is $2,185,873.57, and it was completed on time. The source of funds is, "Storm Sewer G. 0. Bond Fund". It is now in order for the Commission to accept the completed work and authorize final payment, after all conditions are met.
